Restorative practices is an emerging social science that studies how to strengthen relationships between individuals as well as social connections within communities. We believe it is just as important to strengthen the relationship with yourself so that you can repair that leaky gas tank and keep moving forward with energy.
Healing with Art
Simply, art heals. Creating art or appreciating its beauty creates positive brain changes and helps reduce stress. Art further opens our minds to new ways of thinking and living. This helps us to move beyond our perceived limitations and achieve our wildest dreams.
You can find Healing through Art lessons within our Mindest Frameworks, Challenges, and Workshops. Courses focusing specifically on art will be coming soon!
Music as Medicine
Humans are uniquely wired to create and enjoy music. Bird or whale songs are the closest comparison in nature but it's just not the same. We have the ability to reduce stress, spread meaning, and travel back in time with music.
Take advantage of this precious gift with our Music and Medicine lessons found in our Mindest Frameworks, Challenges, and Workshops. Courses focusing specifically on music are coming soon!
Animal Assisted Practices
We all know that animals provide great comfort and stress relief. This feeling is now backed by science! Bonding with animals has been shown to decrease stress hormones and boost those feel-good hormones like dopamine and oxytocin. If you don't have any pets, our co-location Wellington Acres provides virtual and in-person appointments to meet with therapy animals.
Forest bathing has been proven to help those experiencing not just a temporary stressful situation but chronic stress. Schedule some time to forest bathe on our co-location, Wellington Acres, if you're in the southeast Minnesota region. A virtual option is coming soon! Otherwise, find a local park or a forest bathing provider in your neck of the woods.
Bible Study Practices
We believe that supporting the spiritual side of your soul is crucial for feeling whole again. We are fully accepting of other religions but provide education based on our own beliefs and backgrounds. Please reach out for non-Christian guidance and we'll get you the resources you need.
