About Us

Hope to Healing is a nonprofit organization committed to helping and caring for caregivers in healthcare, first response, and the military build sustainable resiliency to overcome burnout, compassion fatigue, and post-traumatic stress. We do this through a combination of self-help resources, organizational training, research and community support.

Mission:

To serve those who commit their lives to helping others and are at high risk for compassion fatigue, burnout, and trauma.

Vision:

To be an immediate source of hope to healing needs with practical frameworks and supportive connections.

The Issue

Caregiving is emotional work and these professionals deal with pain, joy, anxiety, unhappiness, hope, loss, and anger on a daily basis. Those is high-stress, trauma-exposed environments such as healthcare, the criminal justice sector, social and human services, emergency response, and the armed forces have the highest rates of suicide over any other profession and are prone to burn-out.

Many caregiver support services are popping up around burnout and labor shortages but they fall short in addressing the unique needs of humans who are wired for caregiving. They often teach people what to do but lack support systems for how to do it. That's where Hope to Healing steps in to take care of caregivers and build sustainable resiliency to help them continue in the hard work of serving others.
